I’ve been making maps for some time which highlight the single best things to eat, drink and do in locales of note. They summarize at a glance a curated mix of the quality highlights and low brow essentials from bars, restaurants and shops that give a place its sense of character. The info is kept simple to provide enough insight to pique interest while still leaving room for you to make your own discoveries. Places to go. Things to eat. Sights to see. Activities to try. I call these things Small Snacks.
I find that there's no better way to take in all that a neighborhood has to offer—whether its your first time passing through or you've lived there for years—than to go on foot, move at a reasonable clip, and sample as you go. Enjoy a drink here, an app there, soak up the surroundings at another place, and onto the next. Imbibe, mingle, move on. From Corktown, Detroit to Ballsbridge, Dublin, every neighborhood has its own vibe worth exploring and my Small Snack maps sum up the gems that make it so.
